Okay, I’ll admit – I haven’t been updating this site for quite some time. Had meant to go riding last Sunday, but the morning thunderstorm forced us to retreat back into our warm comfy beds. This Sunday’s weather was thankfully much better. In fact, perfect for riding – nice overcast skies made the day Goldilocks-like – not too hot and not too cold.
Damn you Covid! Now that vaccination status in Singapore has past 70%, rules on social gathering have reverted to groups of maximum 5 persons instead of 2. Thus, we could (finally) go for rides in small’ish groups once again!
Took the DRZ out to the dirt this Sunday morning. Due to the Covid lockdown, it’s been some time since the Zee got some ride time.
It’s been almost 3 months since we’ve all been virtually imprisoned due to the Covid-19 pandemic. And I’ve not met my riding buddies in that same period of time. And since this was the first weekend since the Singapore government lifted the lockdown measures preventing social gathering, we took the chance to go for a ride!
We all desperately needed a ride. Of course, being good citizens and residents of Singapore, we kept the group size to a maximum of 5.

This Sunday Morning Ride – and possibly our last for the month due to the Covid-19 lockdown in Malaysia – we headed to the wilderness of Tanjung Buai!
It was also Kumi’s first ride out on the new-to-her BMW F800GS!
3 scramblers, and 3 adventure bikes! This week, we headed to Desaru area for some off-road fun! We have Gim join us for the very first time on his brand new, month-old KTM 1090!
In celebration of Siu Hon’s recent purchase of his Suzuki DR200SE, we’ve decided to head to some dirt trails for this Sunday Morning Ride!
You see, Siu Hon got a new (to him) DR200SE on Friday. It happened so quickly. We went to view the bike in the evening, and within a 2hrs, he took the keys and the bike home!
The durian season is here again! This week, we headed back to Zhong Cheng Durian Plantation, and boy was it crowded!! And for this Sunday Morning Ride #SMR, we have Alex on his BMW F850GS, Sid on his Super 4 Revo, and Siraj & Ruwais on their brand new BMW R1250GS joining us for the very first time! Welcome all!
It was an expected ride. Was planning to just fill up my R1200GS with cheap petrol across the Causeway and head home. But Siu Hon and I ended up linking with Kwong, Julian and Looi on some easy off-roading at the durian plantation!
